What to do about Stains or Dots Visible in the Same Areas on Images

Solution

    If certain kinds of black stains, dots, or dust are always visible in the same areas on images captured with the camera, dirt or dust may have adhered to the image sensor (CMOS).
    Depending on environment and circumstances when changing lenses, dirt or dust in the air may adhere to the image sensor (CMOS).

    This camera is equipped with a self-cleaning sensor unit that automatically eliminates specks of dust adhering to the surface of the image sensor. For details about this function, see How do I clean the sensor now? (EOS REBEL T2i / EOS 550D).
