How to capture still image(s) from the from your favorite scenes in the videos you have taken

Solution
While you are playing back a tape you can capture the picture as a still image on the memory card. The quality of the captured still image can be selected but its size cannot be changed (it will depend on the recording standard of the tape being played back).
1. Holding the lock button pressed down, set the <
> switch to PLAY.
2. Move the

switch to
(tape).
3. Set [TV TYPE] to [
WIDE TV] before using this function.
3-1. Press <

3-2. Select <

MENU] icon and press <
> to open the setup menus.
3-3. Select [
PLAY/OUT SETUP1], then press <
>.
3-4. Set [TV TYPE] to [
WIDE TV] before using this function.
3-5. Press <
> to close the menu.

4-2. Select the desired image quality.
4-3. Press <
>.
5. Pause the playback when the scene you want to capture as a still image appears.
You can also use the frame-by-frame playback to find the exact picture you want to capture.

NOTE
- The data code of the still image will reflect the date and time of the original recording on the tape.
- A still image captured from a scene with lots of fast movement may be blurred.
