Error messages related to memory cards
This section describes what to do when memory card-related error messages appear in the camcorder's LCD screen.
Message
Explanation/Solution
NO CARD
Memory card is not inserted into the camcorder.
NO IMAGES
No images are recorded on the memory card.
CARD ERROR
A memory card error occurred. The camcorder cannot record or display the image.
The error may be temporary.
<Solution>
- Turn off the camcorder, and then remove the card and reinsert it into the camcorder.
(If the red card icon still keeps flashing, initialize the memory card.)
CARD FULL
The memory card is full.
<Solution>
- Erase some images to free some space.
- Replace the memory card with a new one.
NAMING ERROR
The folder and file numbers have reached their maximum value.
<Solution>
- Set the [FILE NOS.] option to [RESET] and erase all the images on the memory card or initialize it.
Please note the following things when handling memory cards.
1. We recommend saving backups of memory card imeges on your computer.
Image data may be corrupted or lost due to memory card defects or exposure to static electricity.
Canon Inc. makes no warranties for corrupted or lost data.
2. Do not use memory cards in places subject to strong magnetic fields.
3. Do not leave memory cards in places subject to high humidity and high temperature.
4. Do not disassemble,bend,drop,or subject memory cards to shocks and do not expose them to water.
5. Do not touch or expose the terminals to dust or dirt.
6. Do not attach any labels or stickers on the memory card.
